SPECIAL WEATHER SUMMARY MESSAGE FOR NEW BRUNSWICK ISSUED BY 
ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 6:45 AM AST THURSDAY 23 DECEMBER 2010.

 A LOW PRESSURE CENTRE HAD MOVED SLOWLY TOWARD THE MARITMES EARLY 
THIS WEEK AND BECAME A MAJOR STORM AS IT PASSED BY SABLE ISLAND
MONDAY NIGHT.  FOR SEVERAL DAYS..IT BUFFETED MANY REGIONS WITH
STRONG WIND  AND A DAMAGING STORM SURGE.  THE STORM IS NOW CENTRED 
OVER THE GRAND BANKS OF NEWFOUNDLAND WHERE IS CONTINUES TO MEANDER 
VERY SLOWLY AWAY.

THE MAIN AREAS OF COASTAL FLOODING WERE ALONG THE ACADIAN COAST AND 
NORTHUMBERLAND SHORE.

THE FOLLOWING ARE WIND GUSTS REPORTED ACROSS NEW BRUNSWICK AND 
EASTERN MAINE AS OF 5 AM LOCAL TIME THURSDAY.

A LOW PRESSURE CENTRE HAD MOVED SLOWLY TOWARD THE MARITMES EARLY THIS 
WEEK AND BECAME A MAJOR STORM AS IT PASSED BY SABLE ISLAND MONDAY

 A LOW PRESSURE CENTRE HAD MOVED SLOWLY TOWARD THE MARITIMES EARLY 
THIS WEEK AND BECAME A MAJOR STORM AS IT PASSED BY SABLE ISLAND

SHORE.. THE EAST COAST OF KINGS COUNTY AND THE WEST COAST OF PRINCE 
COUNTY. COASTAL FLOODING WAS WIDESPREAD WITH COASTAL INFRASTRUCTURE 
DAMAGE AND COASTAL EROSION.
