Queens County continued



Easterly winds gusting to 90 km/h today.



This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.



An intensifying low pressure system north of Cape Cod will move slowly northeastward today and Saturday. A band of heavy rain and strong winds will continue to move across Nova Scotia today and tonight ahead of the low...Rainfall has already started in the southwest and will spread eastward throughout the day to reach Cape Breton by this afternoon. The rain and wind will diminish from west to east later today and tonight ending throughout the province by Saturday morning.



The strongest winds and highest rainfall amounts are forecast over southwestern coastal regions of the province where rainfall amounts could reach 50 millimetres and easterly winds are forecast to gust to 90 km/h.



In addition Les Suetes winds gusting to 120 km/h are forecast beginning this evening.

Periods of rain at times heavy will give between 50 and 75 millimetres today and Saturday.



This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.



An intense low pressure system southeast of Maine will remain quasistationary today. Rain at times heavy over Southwestern New Brunswick this morning will spread northeastward across the province during the day. Rain will ease off for a time this evening then redevelop overnight and persist over Southwestern New Brunswick on Saturday. Total rainfall amounts of between 50 and 75 millimetres is possible for Extreme Southwestern New Brunswick with lesser amounts expected elsewhere.
