Early December Weather Bomb New NB Warning

Fredericton and Southern York County issued

Rain at times will begin this evening bringing 40-50 millimeters to the above regions.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A low pressure system will develop and intensify this evening near Cape Hatteras. The low will track northeastward into the Bay of Fundy by Thursday morning and into the Gulf of St Lawrence by Thursday evening.

Rain at times heavy will begin this evening in Southern New Brunswick giving up to 40-50 millimeters by noon tomorrow.

Snow at times heavy will begin in Northwestern New Brunswick overnight tonight, where 15-30 centimeters is possible by Thursday afternoon. The heavy snow is expected to ease off by Thursday afternoon.

Also strong westerly winds, gusting up to 100 km/h are expected to develop Thursday afternoon in the wake of the low along the coast of the Gulf of St Lawrence.
