Rainfall warning for

Guysborough County issued

Additional rain amounts of 40 to 60 millimetres possible through Wednesday night.

This is a warning that significant rainfall is occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

A large quasi-stationary low pressure system stalled well south of Nova Scotia will continue to push periods of rain into the province into Thursday. Eastern mainland Nova Scotia, which has already received considerable rainfall over the past two days, will be hardest hit and parts of Guysborough County could see additional amounts of up to 60 millimetres through Wednesday night. As the ground is at or near saturation there is a risk of localized flooding in prone areas.
