Rainfall warning for

St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County issued

Rainfall amounts exceeding 50 millimetres are expected tonight and Monday.

A stalled frontal system will continue to affect the Maritimes tonight and Monday. The rain associated with this system will expand tonight across New Brunswick due to an impulse approaching along the frontal boundary. The focus for the heaviest rain will be over southwestern sections of the province where amounts of 50 to 60 millimetres are expected with locally higher amounts possible.

A frontal system will continue to move southward across New Brunswick

today. Rain will persist over southern sections of the province

while a break in the precipitation is expected in the north.

The area of rain will expand tonight due an impulse approaching along

the frontal boundary. The focus for the heaviest rain will be over

southwestern sections of the province where amounts could reach 50

millimetres with locally higher amounts possible tonight and Monday.


The public is advised to monitor future forecasts as warnings may be

required.
