Snowfall warning for

Mount Carleton - Renous Highway issued

Up to 25 centimetres of snow expected tonight and Wednesday.

This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..listen for updated statements.

A developing low pressure system near Cape Cod will track across the Gulf of Maine tonight then track across Southwestern Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Snow associated with this system will spread northeastward across the province throughout the night. Much of southern and parts of Northern New Brunswick will receive up to 25 centimetres of snow..With locally higher amounts possible. The snow is expected to taper to a few flurries Wednesday afternoon in the south and in the evening in the north. Brisk northeasterly winds will also give local blowing snow in exposed areas giving reduced visibility.
