WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NEW BRUNSWICK ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 
2:21 A.M. AST MONDAY 16 DECEMBER 2013.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT DEVELOPED OVER THE EASTERN SEABOARD OF
THE U.S. LATE SATURDAY INTENSIFIED AS IT TRACKED SOUTHEAST OF
CAPE COD SUNDAY MORNING. THE CENTRE OF THIS STRONG WINTER STORM
THEN MOVED ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN NOVA SCOTIA LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON 
BEFORE CONTINUING EASTWARD PASSING JUST SOUTH OF HALIFAX EARLY
SUNDAY EVENING.  THE CENTRE OF THE SYSTEM WAS LOCATED JUST SOUTH OF 
NEWFOUNDLAND EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

THIS SYSTEM BROUGHT HEAVY SNOW, STRONG WINDS AND POOR VISIBILITIES
TO NEW BRUNSWICK ON SUNDAY. ALONG THE FUNDY COAST THE SNOW MIXED
WITH OR CHANGED TO ICE PELLETS DURING THE AFTERNOON.

THIS SYSTEM BROUGHT HEAVY SNOW, STRONG WINDS AND POOR VISIBILITIES
TO THE MARITIMES ON SUNDAY. AS THE CENTRE OF THE STORM SYSTEM NEARED 
THE PROVINCE DURING THE DAY THE SNOW BECAME MIXED WITH OR CHANGED TO 
ICE PELLETS OVER MOST AREAS, AND ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST OF NOVA
SCOTIA AND CAPE BRETON THE PRECIPITATION CHANGED TO RAIN BEFORE 
ENDING DURING THE DAY.  AS A RESULT OF THESE MIXED PRECIPITATION 
PHASES, SNOWFALL AMOUNTS VARIED GREATLY ACROSS THE REGION.

IT WAS MOVING ACROSS THE GULF OF MAINE TOWARD NOVA SCOTIA IN
