Another low pressure system is expected to intensify along the East Coast of the United States as it approaches the Maritimes on Sunday. Current model guidance suggests the potential for winter storm conditions with significant snowfall and strong winds with blowing snow beginning early Sunday. Additionally, most regions except the valley and Northern Nova Scotia could receive significant rainfall as the precipitation changes from snow to rain.

Elevated water levels and ice pile up are possible Sunday night and Monday along the north-facing coastline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
