First Frost of the Season possible overnight in NW New Brunswick

Frost advisory in effect for:
  • Grand Falls and Victoria County
Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

A cold front will cross the province tonight bringing a colder airmass. A ridge of high pressure will build in the wake of the cold front, bringing a clearing trend this evening. The cold airmass combined with clear skies and light winds will result in frost over parts of northwestern New Brunswick.
Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to the reach freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
